Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 June 2026. These terms apply to all users of labourondemand.com.au.
1. About Labour On Demand
Labour On Demand (“we”, “us”, “the platform”) operates a digital marketplace that connects casual workers with companies in Australia’s moving and removals industry. We are not an employer, labour hire agency, or party to any employment relationship between users.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to register.
- You must have the legal right to work in Australia (workers).
- You must be a legally registered business entity to register as a company.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
4. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@labourondemand.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Workers
5.1 Your profile
You must ensure all information on your profile - skills, experience, certifications, availability, and verification documents - is truthful and current. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension.
5.2 Applications
When you apply for a shift and are accepted, you agree to fulfil that commitment. Repeated no-shows without reasonable notice will negatively impact your reliability score and may lead to account review.
5.3 Payment
Payment arrangements are made directly between you and the engaging company. Labour On Demand does not process wages or act as a payroll provider.
6. Companies
6.1 Shift postings
You are responsible for ensuring posted shifts are genuine, accurately described, and comply with all applicable workplace laws, including minimum wage obligations, work health and safety requirements, and right-to-work checks.
6.2 Engaging workers
When you hire a worker through the platform, you are responsible for determining the appropriate engagement type (employee or contractor), meeting all legal obligations, and ensuring a safe working environment.
6.3 Payment
You agree to pay workers the rate and type (hourly or fixed) stated in the shift posting, within a reasonable time after the shift is completed.
7. Reviews and ratings
Both workers and companies may leave reviews after a completed shift. Reviews must be honest, factual, and relevant to the shift experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are defamatory, abusive, or fraudulent. You may flag a review for investigation.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent shifts or profiles.
- Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users.
- Circumventing the platform by taking payment arrangements off-platform to avoid reviews or accountability.
- Creating multiple accounts or impersonating others.
- Scraping, copying, or misusing platform data.
9. Intellectual property
The Labour On Demand platform, brand, and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Disclaimer
The platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee the quality, reliability, or suitability of any worker or company on the platform. To the extent permitted by Australian law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of the platform or your dealings with other users.
11. Limitation of liability
Our liability to you is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the fees (if any) you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. You may close your account at any time via your account settings.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
